God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son. John 3:16
He so loved us that He sent one of His, very dear to Him, to willingly suffer and die by crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins.
I stand in awe every Easter period amazed at how someone could love me so dearly and outwardly that He sacrificed Himself for my sake even before I was born—even before I knew him. What a selfless act! He took the blame and punishment for what He didn’t do.
Today, we remember and celebrate the loving kindness and selfless love displayed on the cross thousands of years ago. Today marks the beginning of God’s plan to save His people from sin. Though a sorrowful and dark event, it led to the outpour of joy on Easter and forgiveness of all.
On this very Good Friday—-
It’s a good day to be good.
It’s a good day to receive and give forgiveness.
It’s a good day to spread love to neighbours and strangers.
It’s a good day to know you’re deserving and immensely worthy of the love shown to you.
It’s a mighty good Friday !
May the God of hope and love fill you with joy and peace this Good Friday and Easter.
