The Four Letter Verb

God confessed His love by dying for us

For God SO LOVED THE WORLD, that He gave His only begotten son.

God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us ~ Romans 5:8

He confessed His love by dying. Dying is the action verb.

He could have easily said, “listen, brethren, I love you. Take it or leave it.” But, He didn’t let it stop there: He further proved His love by experiencing one of the most atrocious and brutal death known to mankind.

When next someone tells you they love you, ask yourself, how are they showing it?

When next you say you love someone, ask yourself, how am I showing love?

Love is a demonstration.

Love is a verb.

Love is a decision.

Love is beyond the mere proclamation of affection. It is an intentional act of demonstration.

Love is a confession of doing.

Now, to clarify, no one is asking you to die for your neighbour. There are a million and one ways to show love. Whatever which way you can afford love, give it.

How are you spreading love in your home? In your career? In your community?
