What’s the traffic like?

Everyday on my way to my various locations, depending on how the spirit leads, I often listen to the radio or play my own music.

If you have ever listened to the radio, then you are familiar with some radio stations having a section solely dedicated to reporting traffic. They do this every now and then to inform and update listeners on what the traffic is like.

Bill, the traffic guy, does a great job of cautioning listeners what streets to avoid, when to take a different route, and approximately how long it will take to get from position A to position B.

Every blessed day, Bill is always reporting about multiple accidents. Of all my days of listening, not once did he not mention the collisions and wrecks to look out for. Every single day, bill is reporting about blocked and closed highways and intersections due to collisions.

This realization really got me reflecting, and just pondering on how many times it could have been me. Every single day, there’s a car wreck and an accident happening at major roads to varying degree and intensity. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I am certain, this victims didn’t leave their house expectant to fall in the hands of a collision, but such was their fate.

It made me more grateful. That I leave my place of residence and return back safely is truly a blessing in itself. I am not special. I don’t have any magical powers that prevents me from being a victim. I am not more righteous than they are. It is really just by the grace of God. Because, trust me, I have had multiple close encounters of what could have turn into an unpleasant damage. But, here I am today, hale and alive, creating this post. It can only be God’s infinite grace and mercy.

My pray for you today is that from Psalm 121:5-8:

” …the sun will not harm you by day nor the moon by night…”

“…the Lord will keep you from all harm–He will watch over your life.”

“… the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

Love & light! ✨

  6. Thank you for sharing an eye opening post. I love how you say that we are not special or somehow more righteous than any other. It’s so true. We take so much for granted as you have stated, like getting back and forth to work everyday. I do not believe that God makes these things happen. I believe that life happens and God is there to help us pick up the pieces in the aftermath. I believe that he is with us whether or not we are in an accident. No matter the situation, we are always safe with God.
