Don’t Give Up!

Diligent.

Persistent.

Consistent.

By definition, diligence is the constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken, while consistency is defined as unchanging in nature, standard, or effect over time. Persistent is defined as continuing firmly or obstinately in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.

Practicing all three isn’t always the easiest task. In fact, it is almost our first instant to give up after our first encounter of failure forgetting that failure is just a stepping stone to victory.

I admit, being diligent, consistent, and persistent can be very challenging, but it becomes slightly easier when you fix your mind towards the end goal. Surely, there will be multiple set-backs and disappointments, but that is when being persistent sets you apart from you peers.

In whatever you find yourself doing, no matter how little, no matter how insignificant you my think it is; show diligence, persistence, and consistency. In being faithful with the little, you can better overcome the bigger task whether it be losing weight, strengthening your relationship with Christ, your academics, building up your finance, etc. It is only but a matter of time before the results starts to manifest.

Push yourself beyond mediocrity. Don’t settle. When you feel like giving up remember the journey that got you to your current position, remember the time and dedication that you have already invested, remember all that you had to sacrifice, and remember why you started. Hang tight! Keep up the work. Don’t relax.

Whatever personal project you may currently be working on (or plan to begin), keep it at. Continue firmly while looking past the difficulty and what may seem to be a stagnant early stage. Success takes time. But unless you show consistency and remain persistent, you may never see it come to fruition. Maintain a positive mindset, and in due time your work will blossom like a tree planted by streams of water whose leaf does not wither. It is possible, but only if you diligently work on it while believing.

Consistently work towards your goals diligently, while being persistent.
