Last Sunday, I went to the park. It was a Sunday evening and the weather was just perfect for a serene stroll and admiration of nature. After some hours had gone by, I had passed up a stranger who immediately sparked a conversation and said “…where have you been, I hadn’t seen you here in a while. I always see you around walking. Did you travel?…” I was rather marveled that someone noticed my absence from the park. A similar situation happened earlier on the same day but different setting. It was a stark reminder that there’s always someone paying attention even when we are unaware.
These two events, one in the morning and the other in the evening, reminded me that God knows, He listens, and pays attention even when it doesn’t look or feel like He is. He knows about the sleepless night, the worries, the tears, the fears, & the troubles. He even knows about the deepest thoughts and secrets that no man dares know about. When you think no one knows, someone knows–God knows.
“By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.”
I John 4:13 NKJV
You’re never alone because He is always there to comfort and provide. He is constantly present and protecting you even from incidents unknown to you.
When you think no one is watching, someone is—when you think no one notices, someone does. Those projects or talents of yours that you’ve been sharing with the world, but have not received the desired feedback or response, don’t be discouraged. Whether you know it or not, there’s at least one person that is silently paying attention to your work. I hope you find the courage to keep going because in due time, your time will come.
Eyes are watching—both those we see and do not see.
