Let’s Chat: Checkin’ In

TWENTY TWENTY—what a year it has been!

*Heavy Spiritual Sigh*

With only TWO month shy of a new year celebration, 2020, in such a dramatic Oscar-worthy performance, ushered itself in with a lot to write, talk, & discuss about.

But before we dive deep into any further discussion, I would really love to know:

1. How are you holding up?

2. How are you doing?

I look forward to reading your thoughts and what you’ve been doing as a coping mechanism.

P.S: you’re not alone 🙂💝

  1. I long for life to be “normal” again but I pray that we don’t lose the lessons that God has been teaching us about what is REALLY important!

Hope all is well in your part of the universe and life is all that you wish for it to be… 🙂

  3. Smiles. It’s been a mind shifting year for me and lots of growing up in faith.
Right now, I am good. Choosing to take each day at a time and not to overwhelm my thoughts but simply take it one after the other. 😊
    And you?

  4. Hey! 20/20 has been such a blessed year. I know everybody else is talking about what went wrong, the pandemic, the economic recession, and so forth. But, I am a half-full glass type of person, you know what I mean? I accomplished alot of things, had a new baby, and I’m feeling great! Sending you lots of love and warmth, thanks for giving me the opportunity to share my joy with you 😉

  5. Even though the darkness looms, the light of God’s love shines. Even though unprecedented is here, God’s presence is the only feeling that truly matters. His grace is still amazing, even in such a time as this! God’s blessings!

  6. Hey Sunshine! Hope you are coping. Although fall leaves and temps are knocking about here, two ripening tomatoes popped up in our garden pot today. Hang in there!

  7. We are doing well, though staying quite isolated because of my husband’s health. I suppose my coping mechanisms would include: long quiet times with God (since there’s no place to go!), staying connected with people through blogging, Facebook, Zoom, etc., and FaceTiming with the grandkids. I can’t believe we’ve been hunkered down for nine months. But the end is in sight, and we’ll be able to fellowship with family and friends face to face again–Hallelujah! Glad to hear all is well with you too!

  8. I’m doing everything I can to keep this life I live in order
& together with the way things are going like it is it’s not
easy, When your trying to live as cheap as you can &
save what $ you can to get into another place & all you
hear is how bad things are going to get next year 😢

How does any 1 keep it together when all the Gov’t is
doing is pulling us down deeper into the big black hole
of doom & gloom, There are so many people suffering
& can’t get ahead & the Gov’t could care less about them.

    1. I’m so sorry to hear that. I acknowledge that things indeed have not been easy.
Your feelings are valid. I pray for brighter and better days ahead for you and that things become even slightly easier for you.
Also, it helps to focus on the good things and minimize the bad things. I also try to live in the present and not dwell so much on how “bad things are going to get next year.”
With the government, there’s only so much one can do. One can only hope and pray they do what’s best for the people they claim to serve.
I wish you well and am rooting for you to keep doing the best that you can each day…one step at a time. ✨🤍

      1. Thank You for the great response
there aren’t a lot of good things
to focus on when there’s nothing
to do in life but listen to the news.

If we had something to do than
to sit at home things would be
a lot better but with the way
things are going it’s not safe
to be away from home, so sad.
