Ever found yourself asking “what’s even the point?!” Perhaps, you’re feeling discouraged, dismayed, disregarded and just about ready to call it quits?
A very brilliant someone once said “while disappointments are inevitable, discouragement is a choice.” Today, at this very moment, you can consciously choose to not feel the heavy weight of discouragement. Though, for someone who’s already at the verge of throwing in the towel, it will take an effort to mentally draw back out.
Here are reminders to help:
- It’s okay to tell God how you are feeling: God listens. When you think no one knows, God knows because He is actively and attentively listening to your inner thoughts and silent whispers. Talk to Him. Go to Him in prayer and pour out your emotions—He has a nonjudgmental & objective view.
- Ask Him about His plans and purpose for your life: As an omnipresent and ubiquitous God, He is everywhere and anywhere. He is ahead of time and knows what tomorrow holds. Chat Him up about your future. God will reveal them to you. Don’t be afraid to ask Him which way forward?
- Remember God is FOR you: right from the early stages of pregnancy, while you were still in your mother’s womb, God already knew you. He is for you, and for your children, and for your children’s children, and for your generations to come. God is all about you: you, you, you! He wants what’s best for you, He paves ways where there seems to be no way, and moves mountains on your behalf just to get you to that destined location. He loves you, He cares about you, and He is fully committed and devoted to matters concerning you. He is 100% in on you. You’re very special and dear to Him. He is constantly rooting for you.
- Commit yourself fully to Him and He will bless you exceedingly: God wants your full commitment. He wants to know that you will not abandon Him when the feeling of dismay fades away. Just like any relationship, no one appreciates a one-sided relationship. No one only wants to be the giver—we all like to receive every now and then. Similarly, though there is nothing you have that God don’t already have, all He wants is your time. He wants devotion from you. He wants you to talk to Him—He wants you to make time to get to know Him. Just a tiny fraction of your time daily—that’s all He wants. This time could be used to just talk, pray, praise, worship, sit in silence, etc it doesn’t matter. He just wants you present.
As you work continuously to overcome the challenges and take back control, my hope is that you achieve success and come out victorious.
I’m rooting for you!
