‘Tis The Season!

‘Tis the season to be jolly….fa la la la la la la la la!

Christmas is a time to celebrate and reflect:

“Happy happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childhood days, recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth, and transport the traveler back to his own fireside and quiet home!”- Charles Dickens

Happy holidays and Merry jolly Christmas to you and yours. Christmas is a time to celebrate with loved ones and reflect not just on past childhood memories for laughs, but also on the reason for season. May the joy of the season fill your homes and lives in the most beautiful ways! I wish you joy, peace, happiness, & a glorious season of celebration.

Christ is the reason for the season:

“For unto us a child is born. Unto us a son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” ~Isaiah 9:6

Gifts and great food aside, Christmas is the celebration of the birth of our Saviour—His birth serving as a sacrificial act of love that enables a forever intimacy with God. The commemoration of His birth was so that mankind will be redeemed. During this season, remember the incredible mercy and grace that has been bestowed upon you through the coming of Christ.

Two thousand years ago, Christ was born. He came to earth to become Immanuel, “God with us.” Though today isn’t the EXACT date He was born, I hope it serves as a reminder and a reassurance that He who has come—has come to stay. He has come so that you may have a blessed and glorious life. He is with you always…until the end of time. Hold steadfast unto Him and that which you’re hoping from Him: He has not forgotten about you. He knows. Jesus knows.
