Roll Call

This post is solely for you to share when is your birthday and your favourite birthday memory:

I’ll start.

May 18. The best month ever. Don’t you agree?

My favourite memory thus far was the mini surprise celebration my former roommates held together for me during one heck of a stressful finals week during my undergraduate years.

I remember it very vividly. I locked myself in my room and was so into studying that I wasn’t really expecting anything from them or anyone and lost track of when the clock changed to 12:00 midnight. Next thing, I received a loud knock on my door and in came my two roommates who yelled “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!” With only a small velvet cake and a birthday ballon, the three of us celebrated for a while before I ran back to studying.

While it may seem little, I was very excited and thankful. I kept the ballon for as long as I could until it deflated. It was my first surprise birthday celebration. And as one who love surprises, I was blown away. I appreciated the gesture.

Now, it’s your turn. I look forward to reading them!

  2. Hey Sunshine – When I turned 30 a bunch of friends in Bethlehem (where I lived @ the time) threw a grand bash with music, dancing, food, a huge chocolate cake (with candles that wouldnโ€™t blow out.) Everyone wore black armbands (since I claimed to be 22 for 8 years & thought 30 was SO old.) Plus there was lots of laughter, something precious then (& now) in a volatile part of the world. Blessings & hugs!๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I couldnโ€™t get past the fact that you lived in Bethlehem. Thatโ€™s amazing. I have always wanted to visit.
