Don’t give in.

There’s hope, because there’s life. Often times, we are so quick to throw in the towel and give in after three failed trials. But, what you’ll notice–soon or already– is that three trials isn’t always enough. Life is tricky like that.

Sometimes, in fact, most times you might have to try 7, 8, 9, even 10 times before an encounter with success. Most times even, after that 10 trials there could still be no successful outcome. Life is petty like that. But my point is, you can’t give in just after trying once.

Until you have tried all that you can, until you have exhausted all you options, until you have done all that’s within your power, then and only then, should the thought of giving in cross your mind. Until then, work. Push yourself. Ask for help. Seek for ways. Think outside the box. Modify your approach. Go the extraordinary mile. But, don’t give in.

Yesterday, I finally received the email about a task that I have been working on for a thousand and one times. After 9 months of disappointments, rejections, no response, and challenges, I got an email! I got the email! But, had I gave in after the first few “nos,” and fail, I would have shortchange myself. The joy felt after a breakthrough is worth every failed attempts and time invested. Keep pushing.

Failing isn’t enough reason to quit because you miss a lot of chances when you stop trying. Failing is life shaking you up to see how badly you really want it–don’t succumb. Failing is life testing your strength to see how fit you are for the journey to come. Failing isn’t, shouldn’t, and won’t be enough reason to give in. So what’s your excuse?

Take a bold step of faith and continue because your breakthrough is nearer than you can feel. But you’ll never know if you quit after your first attempt. You have what it takes, but do you have the patience and resilience to keep going?

Don’t abandon your struggles just yet. Don’t give in…just yet!

  3. Congratulations, Sunhsine, on your enduring example of not giving up that’s a big encouragement to me today! My papa always said that “oranges grow by hanging in there.” Sometimes that’s not an easy thing to do facing continual rejection! Blessings! ☀️🤗☀️

Haha. Your father is a funny and wise man. I love the quote. It’s very true…I need to remember that next time in the face of rejection. It’s definitely not easy, but we must persevere.

  4. If life were easy, it would not be life. The stones on the road will be found daily. The question is to jump them until it takes us to the goal our steps. A very valid exhibition. It is worth taking into account because it helps us to understand what we are living for. A good blog
