Fear of the Unknown

One thing is certain: no one knows tomorrow. No one knows not what is going to happen within the next hour.

Because we are human, we have the limitation of not knowing what is to come. We can never know to the full extent the future, or be able to completely answer the question “what is next?” no matter how good of a planner we are.

We have all been a victim of planning and being 100% so certain of how an event in our life would unfold only to find out that life doesn’t always work out like we have planned. As a result, we allow fear to creep in and control our lives. Living in fear paralyzes our ability to live boldly and confidently.

Moreover, God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind ~2 Timothy 1:7

The good news is: our creator knows. He knows what our tomorrow holds, and they are of good and not of evil (Jeremiah 29:11). Take comfort in knowing that though you may not know what your future holds, God knows. His plans for you are exceedingly and abundantly above all that you could ever ask for.

Live confidently and know that your confidence comes from God because as He is so are you.  God is not a fearful God and neither should you.

  3. Thank you. While I was growing up the picture I got was only that of fear… burning in hell and all that. So bad that I got panic attacks. I liked reading this post on fear and am looking forward to read more 🙂
