Let Him use you.

We pray for God to use us, but when He tries to do so we are often too busy to be bothered or take heed.

In the face of adversity and challenges, you often hear many say “God will provide,” “sending you my love and prayer,” and many other short sympathetic phrases.

But sometimes “God will provide” isn’t always enough. While it may sound very encouraging and nice, it doesn’t solve the problem. The book of James 2:15-16 reads “if a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘depart in peace, be warmed and filled,’ but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?” Such wishes will not feed or clothe them. Kind words are not always enough especially when it is not beyond our ability to help truly.

Allow God to use you: let God provide for them through you. It is true that God does miracle, but in the case of provisions, He needs you to execute that miracle. Be the answer to a prayer in someone’s life. “God will provide” isn’t enough when God has blessed us to provide. He blesses us so that we can bless and be a blessing to others. Good wishes and kind words should be accompanied by corresponding actions if possible.

Hebrews 13:16 reminds us to not forget to do good and to share with others because in doing so we please God.

So when next you find your self in situations where you are able to help, let Him use you!
